St Peter's Anglican Church Havelock

St Peter's Anglican Church Havelock

A view of the outside of the Church, with children posing on the fence. This view shows the Church which is located in Lawrence Street. The first Church was also located here and consecrated (dedicated formally to a religious purpose) by Bishop Suter in 1870. In 1905 saw the rebuild of a new church in Gothic style which stands on a concrete foundation. This Church is built of stone procured from the neighbourhood and is brick lined.

We had a glorious trip down yesterday, and Rose is here too, she & I went away up the bush to the apple tree this morning and arrived home tired out, in time for lunch. Tomorrow we are going to double back on old "Ginger" & go away up to Kellors place, so you can picture us in your own mind when we arrive home again. I am enjoying it so much down here having Rose too
