Trout at Taniwha Springs

Trout at Taniwha Springs

The springs, which feed the Awahou Stream, are considered by the Iwi (a Maori community or people) to be a life source and home of the Taniwha Pekehaua, stories of whom are central to the Iwi's traditions and identity.

389 Main Road Ngongataha - Monday - Dear Mrs Cooley - Just a note to ask you to put the notice of the $ R&R Ass in the Business plan as usual. We are leaving here on Friday and expect to be back on Waiheke on Tuesday next week. Hope you are all well down there. We had good weather while we were in Te Kuiti, New Plymouth and Wanganui, But have had rain pretty bad here. We were stopped three times about Turangi and the Chateau by police looking for the escaped prisoners and we had breakfast with Phil Shone in New Plymouth. We had a very eventful trip. Also went up Mt Egmont to Dawson Falls & had a cuppa- Must stop now just put what you think re meeting - very interesting good attendance etc Kind regards to Mrs Coolley and all others.
Signed:
Mr and Mrs Dean
