Queenstown-The House built from bottles

Bottle House was located on Frankton Road on the way to Queenstown. Built with a decorative facade with empty glass bottles, the building was demolished circa 2005. The bottle house formed part of Mountain View Lodge and was built and owned by Hilton Hensman.

6.1.1955 Dear Nessie Always pleased to hear from you. Here we are at the end of our stay in Queenstown. Tomorrow we leave for Southland for a week. Had a gale here the other night that nearly wrecked the Village did some damage in Dunedin. Edna Davis has your address they leave here in March. Love and good wishes
