The Memorial Hall (as it was initially known) is iconic for its history and origins as a memorial to those from Kaikōura who gave their lives in various conflicts.The Hall was opened by the Hon. J.K.McAlpine (Minister of Railways) on the 24th June 1955 and is located at 134 Beach Road.
