Blackball Wharf Blackball Havelock

A view of the Blackball "landing" and wharf. The schooner Amelia Sims is waiting to load timber. In the Marlborough Express Newspaper of the 25th November 1910 it was reported from the Havelock Correspondent." Thursday - The schooner Amelia Sims sailed from the Blackball wharf this morning with 65,000 feet of timber for Lyttelton. The timber industry in the district generally is in a most flourishing condition, and there is every indication of its continuing so." (abridged)
