Arthur's Pass - The Chapel

Arthur's Pass - The Chapel

Interior view of the Chapel overlooking Avalanche Falls. The work of the chapel committee culminated on Easter Monday the 2nd April 1956 when, in the presence of a congregation of about 1,500 the Arthur's Pass Chapel was dedicated.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD This Chapel was built by a committee representing those churches within the National Council of Churches together with those Alpine Sports Clubs and persons who love this National Park. "O ye Mountains and Hills, Bless ye the Lord"
